Creation

• God created the world in six days, out of nothing (ex nihilo), and rested on the seventh day.
• GENESIS 1

  Took six days and ends with creation of humans - God saw that it was good, in his image (imago dei).

  Humans were given domain over the world (stewards).
• GENESIS 2

  God created the world and formed Adam - Eve was formed from his rib.

  They disobeyed God - ate forbidden fruit.
• Genesis shows:

  • God created the world.
  • Humans have a special place in creation.
  • Humans have stewardship of the earth.
  • Humans have a purpose.
  • God is powerful and eternal.
