  3. Endotherms - animals can regulate their own body temperature eg. Humans
• Xerophytes-plants adapadapted to dry environments, have thick waxy cuticle, and thick roots.
• Mesophytes- plants require moderate amount of water
• Hydrophytes- plants that live in water or near water, such as water lilies
• Greenhouse effect-the atmosphere traps some of the sun's heat
