    An individual’s age determines the media that they consume, the way that they engage with the information and ultimately the way they chose to vote.
    YOUNGER PEOPLE: more likely to engage with social media channels, and are often referred to as the ‘woke generation’ who are less afraid of political change. OLDER PEOPLE: more likely to get their political news from newspapers and TV Broadcasts.

    For example, 50% of subscribers to newspaper apps are aged 55.
    This is in comparison to only 12% of under 25s, with a 38% difference between the groups consumption of Traditional Media content, it is evident that age influences the perception and intake of political content and media.

    Therefore, as an individuals age is likely to determine the forms of media that will influence their voting behaviour, age is a significant factor influencing voting behaviour.
