  • Reverse Complex A: dependent , independent 
           (subordinating conjunction+subject+verb+complete idea) , (subject+verb+complete idea) 
  • Complex B: independent clause 
         (subject , dependent using a relative pronoun , verb+complete idea)  
  • Complex C Sentence: Subject + verb + complete 
    (verb+ing or to+verb or whoever, whenever, wherever) 
  • Simple Sentence: Casey has an alibi. 
  • Complex A: Casey slept peacefully knowing they had an alibi. 
  • Reverse Complex A: Knowing they had an alibi, Casey slept peacefully. 
  • Complex B: Casey, who has an alibi, slept peacefully. 
  • Complex C: Whoever has an alibi will sleep peacefully.
