    Aim: See if people are influenced by others with an ambiguous task.
    Procedure:
    • Laboratory experiment, repeated measures design.
    • Used a visual illusion (when a stationary spot of light in a dark room appears to move: autokinetic effect).
    • Deception - experimenter told participants light moved.
    • Participant's task is to estimate how much the light moved.
    Results:
    • In group, personal estimation got adjusted to suit the group's.
    • Affected by informational social influence.
