Sensations

• The central nervous system is the brain and the spinal cord.
• Nerves contain bundles of neurons which carry impulses
• A stimulus is like a poke
• The receptor is my skin
• The sensory neuron transmits impulses from receptors
• The CNS is the coordinator that gets the impulses from the sensory neurons
• The motor neuron transmits the impulse from the CNS to the effector
• The effector is the muscles that responds to a stimulus
