  • Construction procurement involves the acquisition of buildings or space within buildings through buying, renting, leasing, or designing and building to meet a specific need
  • Construction procurement is successful if the project is delivered on time, to budget, to the desired quality, and to the satisfaction of the client
  • Two primary procurement systems used in the building industry:
    • Traditional systems or design-tender-build
    • Non-traditional Systems
