• Morton's Neuroma:

  • Compression of interdigital nerve
  • 3rd web space affected most commonly
  • Local pain
  • +/- sensory disturbance
  • More common in women

  
• Morton's Neuroma - Management:

  • Calf stretching
  • intrinsic muscle strengthening
  • advice and education (avoid tight fitting/narrow footwear)
  • orthotics with metatarsal dome - support transverse arch so gives more space between metatarsal head
  • steroid injection - reduce inflammation
  • surgery to remove neuroma
