    evils in society. (Touch me Not)
    El Filibusterismo – the sequel of Noli which
    exposed the evils in the government and in
    the church.
    Mi Ultimo Adios – a poem written by Rizal in
    his prison cell in Fort Bonifacio.
    • Sobre La Indolencia de los Filipinos (On the Indolence
    • of the Filipinos) – an essay defending the Filipinos on the accusation of laziness of the Filipinos
  • MARCELO H. DEL PILAR (THE CONSUMMATE JOURNALIST/PROPAGANDIST) - Pen names were Plaridel, Pupdoh, Piping Dilat, and Dolores Manapat.
    • He established Diariong Tagalog where he exposed the evils of Spanish Government.
    • He succeeded Lopez-Jaena as editor of La Solidaridad
    • Some of his works are Kaingat Kayo, Dasalaan at Tocsohan, at ang Cadaquilaan ng Dios
  • GRACIANO LOPEZ-JAENA (THE GREATEST ORATOR) - La Solidaridad, as its 1st Editor-in-Chief.
    • Some of his works are Ang Fray Botod, Everything is Hambug, Sa mga Pilipino, at En honor del Presidente Morayta de la Associacion Hispano Filipino
  • ANTONIO LUNA (THE PHARMACIST, WRITER AND GENERAL) - His pen name was Tagailog
    • Some of his works are Noche Buena (Christmas Eve), Se devierten (How they Diverted Themselves), La Tertulia Filipina (A Filipino Conference or Feast), La Casa de Huespedes (The Landlady’s House)
  • La Solidaridad - that espoused the relatively liberal views of the Filipino Propaganda Movement, which sought reform in the Spanish colony of the Philippines
  • MARIANO PONCE (THE SECRETARY) - Pen names were Tikbalang, Naning and Kalipulako
    • Some of his works are Ang Alamat ng Bulacan (Legend of Bulacan), Pagpugot kay Longinos (The Beheading of Longinus)

    censorship of the press.
