Hairs in the oviduct called cilia help push the egg along
If the egg meets sperm in the oviduct and is fertilized, it will implant in the uterus
9 months later, the baby will be born

Sperm needs to swim a long way to meet the egg in the oviduct
The egg cell is adapted to allow only 1 sperm to fertilize it, is large for easy location by sperm, and has other adaptations
