  • Amorsolo was also a graphic artist for The Philippine Readers and The Independent. He designed the logo for Ginebra San Miguel (MarkangDemonyo) depicting St. Michael vanquishing the devil. Thus, the owner of the beverage company, Don Enrique Zobel, was so impressed by his work that he offered to send Amorsolo to the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid.
