  • Vaccination involves a small amount of a dead bacteria/attenuated form of a pathogen into the body. These act as antigenic material.
    1.) Immune response is triggered but no symptoms occur
  • 2.)Antigens stimulate plasma cells to produce antibodies against the pathogen
  • 3.) Memory cells are produced & remain in the blood so next time the immune response will be faster
