• Circulatory overload:

  • Excess fluid leading to hypervolemia
• Reaction to blood transfusion:

  • Fever, chills, urticaria, itching
• Symptoms of Fluid volume Excess:

  • Weight gain, edema, swelling, cramping, respiratory distress, high BP
• Symptoms of Fluid volume deficit:

  • Thirst, dry mouth, headache, dark urine, less sweat, less urine
• Serum Osmolality:

  • Measures solutes in plasma
• Urine specific gravity:

  • Concentration of solutes in urine
• BUN:

  • Measures nitrogen in blood, indicates kidney health
• Creatinine:

  • Measures creatine in urine, tests kidney function
