    Because Watson and Rayner observed Little Albert's response to the conditioning.

    In controlled conditions- a well lit dark room with a mattress that was on top of a table.
  • Why was it not an experiment?
    There was only one condition as it was only an investigation to determine the effects of stimuli.
  • Why was it not a case study?
    An analysis on Albert's life was not needed as it was only focused on his response to stimuli.
