    • Most people do not have this
    • Some examples of these include quixotic, chauvinistic, narcissistic, sadistic, a Don Juan, and so forth
    • individual and are not shared with any other person
    Cardinal Dispositions
    • The 5 to 10 personal traits around which a person’s life focuses.
    • Few people have this
    • Allport described central dispositions as those that would be listed in an accurate letter of recommendation written by someone who knew the person quite well.
    Central Dispositions
    • The least characteristic and reliable personal dispositions that appear with some regularity in a person’s life.
    • Less conspicuous but far greater in number than central dispositions
