  • As strengthened by the DepEd Order No. 48, s. 2006, the recognition and implementation of laboratory guidelines and safety protocols in science laboratories are vital.
  • Unauthorized use of the laboratory is strictly prohibited.
  • Never work in the laboratory without the supervision of a teacher. A class should secure an EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE PERMIT signed by the
    subject teacher before proceeding to the experiment proper. Failure to
    secure the permit means no experiment shall be conducted.
  • Be mindful of emergency procedures and emergency exits.
  • Always maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory.
  • Workstations must be cleaned with diluted Lysol solution before and after the conduct of an experiment.
  • Always keep the floor clear from objects (e.g., small objects, spilled liquids).
  • Eating, drinking, smoking, applying cosmetics, and things alike are strictly prohibited in the laboratory.
  • All accidents involving fire, injury, or property damage must be reported promptly to the supervising teacher.
  • Always wash your hands properly before and after entering the room.
