    → It is preserving one's supposed good image before others or avoiding possible recriminations.

    → Simple flattery (Bola).
    → This is but simple and may be regarded as "no big deal" but the damage it may cause to the person who does and who lied to may not be that easy to correct.

    → This is a lie intended to harm others.
  • Lies of propaganda
    → For profit
    → This is a lie common to those who want a position and to those into product advertisement.
  • Lies of hypocrisy
    → Half truth
    → The truth is twisted to say and mean something which is not so. they do not tell the whole story.
  • Contrived flattery of others
    → An exaggeration used to gain or win undue favor from the authorities.
  • Silence (Pa-simple)
    → It is playing safe it is a lie when one remains silent though obliged to speak in order to free himself/herself from further trouble.
  • Fame
    → It refers to one’s name, reputation, and credibility as a person.
  • Defamation
    → A lie against our neighbor it is taking away or lessening another man's fame unjustly.
  • Calumny or Slander
    → It injures reputation by stories that are not true and consists of accusing a person of faults of which he/she is not guilty of.
  • Detraction
    → It is the unjust revelation of the person's hidden faults or defects blackening his/her reputations.
  • Gossip and Backbiting
    → It is the exaggerated criticism about the real and known effect of others' faults and malice leading to the defamation of the other
  • Tale-bearing
    → It is a speech unfavorable to another person secretly made with the purpose of breaking up a good relationship.
  • Secret
    → It is something that is known privately to a person or only a few persons.
  • Natural Secret
    → It is a secret that cannot be revealed; otherwise it would cause a person harm in his/her reputation honor or influence.
  • Promised Secret
    → A secret that a person promised from another to keep it unknown AFTER he/she learned it
  • Entrusted/Committed secret
    → It is a secret that a person promised from another to keep it unknown BEFORE he/she learned it.
  • Seal of confession
    → It is a secrecy demanded in the sacrament of penance. 
  • Restitution
    → Restoration of something lost or recompense for injury.
