Social Cryptomnesia – The idea that as a social group we tend to recall that change has taken place but tend to forget about the steps that brought it about (the protest, strikes, riots etc.)

People are too egocentric to let themselves believe they were ever against the minority view - as a result they don't really know why they've adopted the new view they have, or where it came from
• As a society, we have changed... but does anyone remember how those changes came about?
