• the main process of the respiratory system is breathing, gaseous exchange and respiration.
• breathing include:

  -inhalation occurs when air is taken into the mouth and nose.

  -exhalation occurs when air is breathed out of the mouth and nose
• gaseous exchange: oxygen moves from the lungs into the blood and carbon dioxide moves from the blood into the lungs
• respiration:

  oxygen is used to turn food into energy, water and carbon dioxide. once energy is released, water are carbond dioxide turns into waste pruducts

• Bronchitis is the inflammation or swelling of the bronchial tubes, resulting in people breathing less air and oxygen into their lungs
• Asbestosis is a disease caused by asbestos fibers entering the lungs during inhalation, building up in the lungs and causing the lung tissues to become stiff
