PAES(WTAT)

• Walking-type agricultural tractor:

  • Also known as a hand tractor or pedestrian tractor
  • Self-propelled machine with a single axle designed primarily to pull and propel trailed or mounted agricultural implements and machinery
• Pull-type tractor:

  • Capable of pulling various kinds of implements
  • Materials of construction include steel bars and sheet metals
• Controls of the tractor:

  • Throttle Lever: accessible to the operator's right-hand side of the handlebar
  • Types of throttle levers: Vertical type and Horizontal type
  • Main Clutch Lever: accessible to the operator's left-hand side of the handlebar
• Throttle Lever operation:

  • Vertical type: pushed forward to increase engine speed, pulled rearward to decrease engine speed
  • Horizontal type: pulled to the left to increase engine speed, to the right to decrease engine speed
• Performance Requirements:

  • Peak transmission efficiency of at least 85%
  • Noise emitted by the tractor not more than 92 dB (A) measured 50 mm away from the operator's ear level
• Other Requirements for the tractor:

  • Belt guard or cover
  • Mud guard
  • Rubber hand grip
  • Mechanisms for transmission belt adjustment
  • Mechanism for handlebar height adjustment
  • Hitch of the tractor according to PAES 107 specifications
  • Hexagonal axle of the tractor according to PAES 108 specifications
  • Transport mode using agricultural rubber tires
• Workmanship and Finish:

  • Tractor should be free from manufacturing defects, rust, and have proper paint
  • Tractor should be free from sharp edges
• Warranty for Construction and Durability:

  • Warranty against defective materials and workmanship for parts like belts within six (6) months from purchase
  • Construction should be rigid and durable without breakdown of major components within six (6) months from purchase
• Maintenance and Operation:

  • Unit should come with three (3) open wrenches, one (1) Philips and flat screwdriver each, and one (1) adjustable wrench
  • Operator's manual conforming to PAES 102
• Sampling and Testing:

  • Tractor should be sampled for testing according to PAES 103
  • Sampled tractor should be tested following PAES 111
• Marking and Labeling requirements:

  • Registered Trademark of the Manufacturer
  • Brand, Model, Serial number
  • Name and address of the manufacturer and importer
  • Country of manufacture, Power requirement in kW
  • Safety/precautionary markings
