• What are Callum's key scenes

  Act 1, Scene 2 - Introduction to Callum's family life - shows his recognition of the unfaire society he lives in

  Act 2, Scene 15 - Shows Callum and Jude's relationship, shows he is tired about the way that noughts are being treated and he wants to take action by joining LM

  Act 2, Scene 26 - shows his utter love and affection for Sephy as he is not scared or annoyed that she is preganant, but rather protective and happy for her

  Act 1 scene 1 - shows her inital cluelessness and her blindness to the reality of life for noughts

  Act 2, scene 9 - shows Sephy's growing ability to stand up to her mother as she is undergoing metamorphesis in order to see the reality of life for noughts and the injustice in society.

  act 2 scene 9 - shows her lack of care for sephy and her poor maternal behavoiur, however it also shows her point of view and this scene provides an explanation for how she has been acting, as she is desperate to keep a good reputation for her family

  Scene 1 act 9 - shows Jasmine's dislike for not only Callum , but also noughts in genral as she is used as the epitome of the unjust society.

• key scenes for kamal

  act 1 scene 5 - first and last time we see kamal in act 1. He is on TV giving a report on terrorism. It is significant that this is one of the few times we see him in act 1 as it shows he is barely home with his family and he is instead always at work in an official role. It presents him as a very serious man who is most likely feared by a lot of noughts

  act 2 scene 11 - he jumps to conclusions about sephy's safety and assumes that she is no longer safe at school due to callum being there, showing his lack of understanding and involvement in sephy's life presenting him as ignorent and foolish as he is truly only worried about the family's reputation, rather than sephy's well being
• key scenes for meggie

  act 1 scene 2 - shows her maternal nature and her care for the family, presenting her as a very likeable character as she is loving and 'worried sick' about callum, indicating she loves her family very much.

  act 1 scene 21 - post bombing scene - again reinforces her love for her family, but also shows her firm belief in her morals as she believes that fighting this battle in society with violence is wrong. she is truly discusted with the boys, which also connotes her sense of dettatchment from her family in this moment due to their conflicting views.

  act 1 scene 21 - shows his passion and hurt for lynette and the state of society and his despiration for change - presents him as very passionate and also loving as he truly does just want the best for his family

  act 1 scene 2 - shows his lack of involveemnt in the family

  act 2 scene 10 - shows his detatchment and moral decay as he slowly accepts his fate

  act 1 scene 15 - jude is angry that sephy came to lynettes wake - shwos his love and care for lynette and also his anger at crosses in general

  act 2 scene 15 - shows the brothers bond, jude convinces callum to join the LM, showing his anger and want and passion to fight bac kbut also shows a slight lack of care as he may not be considerign the consequences of bringing his brother into these dangers
