• 'the hand that mocked them' - the statue has been destroyed but still holds onto something (a broken sword)

  
• 'trampled, trodden on the tiles' - people are walking over the statue as if they don't care about its power anymore
• 'boundless' - the statue is so big it seems to have no limits
• 'boundless and bare' - the desert is vast, empty and barren
• 'lone and level sands stretch far away' - there are no other people or buildings around to show how powerful ozymandias was
• 'nothing beside remains' - nothing else exists except the ruins of his empire
