Electric Chrage

Cards (6)

  • All matter is made up of atoms which contain 3 fundamental particles:
    1. Protons are positively charged
    2. Neutrons have no charge
    3. Electrons are negatively charged
  • All materials contain positive charges (Protons) and negative charges (Electrons)
  • Neutral objects have an equal number of protons and electrons since there is no net charge
  • Charged objects have an unequal number of protons and electrons.
  • Positively-charged objects have more protons than electrons/ are electron deficient
  • Negatively-charged objects have more electrons than protons/ an excess of electrons
