  • Circle: a set of points equidistant to a point called the center
  • Central Angle: an angle whose vertex is the center of the circle and whose sides are radii of the circle
  • Intercepted Arc: an arc that lies in the interior of an inscribed angle and has endpoints on the angle
  • A chord is a segment joining any two points on a circle
  • Diameter: a chord passing through the center of a circle, dividing it into two semicircles
  • A major arc is greater than a semicircle (greater than 180°)
