Group 2 metals

• Group 2 metals are called the alkali earth metals and they are: Lithium, Beryllium, Calcium, Strontium, Barium, Magnesium, and radium
• Group 2 metals are less reactive than group 1 metals
• They have to lose 2 electrons which require more energy
