Penis: used in sexual intercourse, with three parts: the root (attached to the abdomen), the body or shaft, and the glans
Scrotum: pouch-like sac of skin below the penis, containing the testicles which need to be slightly cooler than body temperature for sperm development
Testicles (testes): primary male sex organ responsible for sperm production and testosterone secretion, with seminiferous tubules inside for sperm development
Accessory Organs:
Epididymis: a coiled tube at the back of each testicle, storing and maturing sperm cells
Vas Deferens: transports matured sperm from the epididymis to the urethra during ejaculation
Ejaculatory ducts: formed by the fusion of the vas deferens and seminal vesicles, emptying into the urethra
Urethra: tube excreting urine from the bladder and ejaculating semen during orgasm
Seminal vesicles: sac-like pouches near the base of the bladder, producing a sugar-rich fluid (fructose) for sperm energy and making up most of the ejaculatory fluid volume
Prostate gland: walnut-sized structure below the bladder, contributing additional fluid to the ejaculate to nourish sperm, with the urethra running through its center
Bulbourethral glands (Cowper's glands): pea-sized structures below the prostate gland, producing a clear, slippery fluid to lubricate the urethra and neutralize acidity from residual urine drops
