NERVOUS SYSTEM

• Nervous system is derived from ectoderm (except neuroglia and meninges because they are mesoderm)
• Functional unit of nervous system is Action potential (nerve impulse) and structural unit of nervous system is neuron.
• Nissl's granules are the masses of RER ( protein synthesis)
• Neuron has least power of regeneration because they lack centrioles.
• Nucleus contains mitochondria and Nissl's granules
• Largest cell in human body is sperm(male) and ovam(female)
• Neuroglial are non-sensory supporting cell.
