• A very commen method of contraception is to use oral ones such as the pill
• The pill contain hormones which prevents the body From producing the hormone fsh which causes an egg to mature preventing any egged from maturing

  — it must be taken every day or there is a risk of pregnancy

• Implant skin patch or injection

  containing progesterone stopping eggs from maturing or being released
• Implant injection skin patch

  + more convenient then taking a pill every day injection lasting 3 years Injection 13 weeks patch one week

  - side effects
• IUD- prevent embryo from implanting some release hormones to reduce chances of fertilisation it is high effective and can prevent pregnancy for up to ten years
• Sterilisation- Surgical forms of contraception.

  women prevents egg from reaching the uterus

  men prevents sperm from leaving the penis.
