San Pedro belongs to the esteemedroster of
proclaimed National Artists of the
Philippines, of which he was conferred with 1991.
One of his most popular compositions today is “Ugoy ng Duyan,” a lullaby, written as part of his Suite Pastorale, a compilation of choral works. Lyrics were written by LeviCelerio, an prolific lyricist.

At 12 years old, Antonio could play several stringed instruments, but his exposure to orchestral music during
rehearsal of his father’s orchestra made him learn
the violin early on.
Molina composed his first music in 1912, titled “Matinal,” a work that he considered a product of inspiration, rather than a technically challenging work.
Matinal wrote a series of waltzes,” Lamentos de mi Patria,” in 1913, and a famous violin piece “Hatinggabi” in 1915.
Antonio Buenaventura was born on May 4, 1904 in Baliuag, Bulacan.
As a young boy, he exhibited his inclination for music, as he learned his solfeggio and rudiments and learned to play the clarinet at a young age.
His important compositions, among others, include “Mindanao Sketches,” “Divertimento for Piano and Orchestra,” and “Pandanggo sa Ilaw.”
Francisco Buencamino, Sr. was born on 5 November 1883 in San Miguel de Payumo, Bulacan.
Buencamino is credited for several Tagalog sarswela. Some of them include “Marcela” (1904), “Si Tio Selo” (1904),”Yayang”
(1905), and “Pangako mo Hindi Natutupad” (1905). Ave Maria (1992).
