• Body Tube - tube that extends from eyepiece to objectives
• Nose Piece - revolving circular structure containing objectives.
• Stage- platform on which slides/specimen is placed
• Coarse adjustment knob - moves stage up/down for focusing largely
• Fine adjustment knob - moves stage up/down for focusing in small amounts.
• Objective lens - lens that receives light from an object to form a magnified image you view through eyepiece.
• Arm - part of microscope for carrying
• Stage clips - used to hold slides in the stage
• Diaphragm - controls amount of light that passes up through the bottom of the stage.
• Light source - provides a steady stream of light that passes through the stage.
• Base - supports entire microscope.
• Mirror - used to reflect light from light source.
