• Characteristics of Older Persons

  ● Mostly are housebound.

  ○ Most spend their life mostly doing simple activities within their houses.

  ● FInancially disadvantaged.

  ○ Though receiving pensions, however, it is not enough for the growing need for medication, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

  ○ In cases where elders do not receive pension from the government, it is their children who usually shoulder their expenses.
• Characteristics of Older Persons

  ● Have the tendency to under report their illness.

  ○ As they age, they do not express verbally or present the symptoms of an

  illness as vividly as younger people do.

  ● Vulnerable to adverse drug reactions.

  ○ Example: 23 elderly died in Norway after COVID-19 vaccination.
