    Ovulation takes place every 28 days, uterus lining becomes thick and spongy, egg released, if fertilized egg implants into uterus wall, if not fertilized both egg and uterus lining are released which is called period
  • In men, the testes produce testosterone which stimulates sperm production
  • Every 28 days, an egg is released in ovulation
  • Luteinizing Hormone (LH) causes ovulation
  • Graph interpretation: FSH rises, stimulates ovaries to release estrogen, estrogen inhibits FSH and stimulates LH release, LH peaks around day 14 triggering ovulation, ovary releases progesterone, if no fertilization progesterone falls and woman has a period
