Naming

• Ionic Charge - Charge when atom has full valence shell
• Naming salts - Add a "ide" to the suffix. Nacl = sodium chloride
• Covalent Naming - Add the number of the element to the front. Add "ide" to the second part
• Covalent Naming - Carbon Di-oxide, Di is because of 2 carbons
• Little numbers - Show charge and amount
• Cross over charges! O2 h4 = 04 h2
• Chemical formulas - Symbol, ex 2O 3H 7O
