Diagrams

• Ionic Compound - Do not draw lines in a Lewis Dot Diagram
• Covalent - Draw the lines in Lewis dot Diagram
• Lewis Dot - Draw the negitives even if it is a one.
• Always write the metal first, then non metal (Ionic)
• If crossing a covalent compound, then the left most element on the Periodic Table is on the left in the symbol.
• Simplify any element symbols if possible.
• Ionic compounds are not draw with Lewis Dot Diagram.
