• aim= General statement of what researcher intends to investigate - purpose of study
• hypothesis : Testable statement -predicting difference or relationship
• Null hypothesis : predict  no difference in relationship 

  Alternate : predict difference ( non/directional)
• • Direction :  make clear what type of difference - more , less
• • Non-direction : used when no previous research made  - there will be a difference
