Registration marks are used on the outer edge of a commercially printed item, they are printed using CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) to make sure that it has printed accurately so the registration mark is entirely black.
Colour bars are used to measure the various aspects of a printed item such as ink density, overprinting and misalignment
Creasing and folding crushes the fibres of paper and board and adds a permanent mark to enable shapes to be formed. This is used in bulk for packaging and machinery is used to ensure a consistent fold every time.
