  OR

  Test: Freeze and melt the liquid

  Result: Melts at O°C
• Pure water has:

  Bp= 100°C

  mp= 0°C
• Impurities raise the boiling point and lower the melting point
• Impure water: bp >100°C

  mp<0°C
