afterlife

• jews focus on the present rather than the afterlife. it is not for humans to understand the wyas of God. living a good life is preparation.

  Mishnah "this world is like a lobby before Olam Ha Ba, prepare yourself"
• No specific references towards what happens after death, some refernces to a shadowy place called "sheol" meaning going down.
• jews are judged every year at Rosh Hashanah
• orthodx jews do believe in ressurection, some think this includes the ressurection of the body meaning that they would not donate organs or cremate the body.
• reform jews do not believe in the ressurection. some believe that there is a soul that lives on, some believe that it's just the memory of good deeds that moves on.
• deureronomy for ressurection- "I slay, I will revive, I wounded and I will heal"
