  The capacity in the STM. The digit span of it.
• What was Jacob's procedure?

  Researchers read 4 digits, and increased until participants couldn't recall the order correctly. Final number called is their digit span.
• What was Jacob's findings?

  On average, participants could repeat back 9.3 digits and 7.3 letters.
• What is a strength of Jacob's study?

  Findings have been replicated (Bopp and Verhaeghan in 2005)
• What is a limitation of Jacob's study?

  Old study = lacked control (cofounding variables e.g., distracted participants)
