    their thoughts i cannot measure
    verbs “hopped” “played” = freedom + joy
    “i cannot measure”= the speaker is unsure of the thoughts of birds and therefore suggests that man cannot truly understand or measure nature

    poet urges us to return to a time when we gave nature the respect it deserves.
