For a curved path,
šš will be zero only if š£ is zero
Normal
acceleration
- rate of change of direction of the velocity in a curvilinear path
Tangential acceleration
is the rate of change of magnitude of the
velocity in a curvilinear path.
Tangential acceleration
has the same inclination as the
inclination of the velocity at the same instant which is also
the same with the slope of the path at the same instant.
