    • a public figure or a celebrity promotes or endorses a product or a political candidate
  • Name Calling
    • makes people form judgements without evidence on which the judgment should be based
  • Plain Folk
    • used to present wealthy and powerful people as common or ordinary people
  • Stereotyping
    • People hold negative judgement or unpleasant public belief about a certain group of people or individuals who do not belong to their class/level
  • Bandwagon
    • entices everyone to come and join since everyone else is doing the same thing
  • Journalism
    • also known as "Campus Journalism"
    • a form of writing that tells people about things that truly happened, but that they might not have known about already

    • news preceded by the date and place of origin or place where it was written or filled
  • National News
    • news that takes place within the country
  • Local News
    • reports of events that take place within the immediate locality

    • news that takes place outside the country
