• Egg cells:

  • Cytoplasm contain nutrients for the growth of an early embryo.

  • Haploid Nucleus contains genetic material for fertilisation.

  • Cell membrane changes after fertilisation by a single sperm so no more sperm can enter.
• Sperm cells:

  • Genetic material for fertilisation.

  • Acrosome in the head which contains enzymes so the sperm can penetrate the egg.

  • It has a lot of mitochondria to release energy needed to swim and fertilise egg.
• Cilliated epithelial cells have cillia on the surface to move fluids and particles.
