- PoliticalThe USA holds significant political influence on a global stage, playing a key role many influential organisations and alliances.The USA holds significant power in NATO as it is a dominant player among the group. It is the country most able to set the NATO agenda, only the US maintains and controls the conventional and nuclear capacity to deter and defend against existential threats to the alliance. No other ally has the military capacity to do so.

In comparison, the UK pays a mere 11%.This demonstrates the amount power the US hold in NATO, particularly in comparison to other voices in NATO, such as the UK - who pay only half of what the US do - allowing them to have a heard voice in one of the most politically significant global organisations, protecting and promoting America in the significance it holds on the world stage.
- Political - 2The USA also play an influential role in the United Nations - it is one of the five permanent members of the UN, giving the country an important power - the veto.The veto power means that if any one of the five permanent members cast a negative vote in the 15-member Security Council, the resolution or decision will not be approved.

- Political - EVALUATIONTherefore, it is clear that the USA hold significant political influence on a global scale, using this power and their finances to control many of the political outcomes in other areas of the world to favour America and it’s agenda.
