Ice Cores

• -ice cores are drilled from greenland and antartic ice sheets
• -the air bubbles inside them tells us levels of CO2 in the atmosphere when the ice froze
• -high levels of Co2 tend to coincide with warmer periods
• They are very reliable, although there could be slight daying errors
