• Ductility is the ability of a substance to be drawn into thin wires
• Hardness is how easily a substance can be scratched
• Malleability is the ability of a solid material to be hammered or pressed into sheets without breaking apart
• Chemical Properties of matter are reactivity, toxicity, flammability, and solubility.
• reactivity is the ability of matter to combine chemically with other substances
• toxicity is the degree which a substance can damage an organism
• Flammability refers to whether a compound will burn when exposed to flame
• Physical Change is change that do not change the identity of a substance itself
• Phase transition is a physical change where the substance undergoes changes without changing its chemical composition
• Evaporation is a phase change when liquid changes to gas
• sublimation is a phase change when solid changes to gas without passing through the liquid state
• Freezing point depression is the lowering of freezing temperature due to solute dissolution
