Human Reproduction (MALE)

• Testes - produce sperm and testosterone, located in the scrotum
• Scrotum - A pouch-like sac that holds the testes and is covered by skin.
• Penis - Places sperms into the vagina during mating
• Erectile Tissue - Fills with blood from the arteries and relaxes to allow the penis to become erect.
• Vas Deferens - carries sperm from the epididymis to the urethra.
• Urethra - the tube that carries urine or sperm to outside of the body.
• Glands - provie liquidd in which sperm can swim.
• Seminal Vesicle - produces fluid that nourishes sperm and helps it move through the urethra. Secretes one of the components of the semen.
• Prostate Gland - Secretes a milky fluid that is discharged into the urethra as part of the semen.
• Bulbourethral - mucous secrmucous-secretingeting gland located at the base of the penis.
• Semen - males usually ejaculates 2-5ml of semen, and each milliliter may contain 50-130 million of sperm.
