• "I met a traveller from an antique land" - begins in first-person storytelling narrative which emphasises how this is set in the past
• "Two vast and trunk less legs of stone" - adjective suggests the statue lacks a body, compassion, empathy
• "Half sunk, a shattered visage lies" - imagery of the statue being swallowed by the sand reflecting natures utmost power + imagery of the pharaohs face being destroyed beyond recognition + dual meaning of 'lies' suggesting that it being there in the physical sense OR could imply that Ozymandias's reign was a lie
