• Neurons transmit electrical impulses around body
• Cell body has dendrites that receive information from other neurons
• Info passes along axon in form of electrical impulse that ends up at synaptic knob
• Myelin sheath insulates axon to speed up synaptic transmission
• Neurotransmitters are chemicals released from synpatic knob, they pass on the signal to the dendrites of the next neuron

  Nerve cells that transmit electrical impulses between sensory neurons and motor neurons
