• Hypothenar Eminence Muscles:

  • Opponens digiti minimi (ODM)
  • Flexor digiti minimi brevis (FDMB)
  • Abductor digiti minimi (ADM)
  • Palmaris brevis (PB)

  
• Only palmaris brevis:

  • direction is medial - the other 3 go distal
  • nerve supply is superficial branch of ulnar nerve - the other 3 is the deep branch
• Opponens digiti minimi and flexor digiti minimi brevis:

  • both originate at:
  • hook of hamate
  • flexor retinaculum
• • Opponens digiti minimi, Flexor digiti minimi brevis, Abductor digiti minimi - direction is distal, insert onto 5th finger
  • Palmaris brevis - direction is medial, insert onto skin on medial aspect of hand
